Description
Understanding the chords of a key is one of the most useful things a pianist can learn. It helps you read and memorise music faster, recognise patterns when sight-reading, hear cadences in your aural tests, and start harmonising melodies and playing by ear.
Each chart in this set shows a major key and its relative minor together on one A4 page, so you can see at a glance how the two keys share the same key signature.
Each page includes:
- All seven diatonic chords, with Roman numerals, chord names and the notes of each chord
- Chord quality (major, minor or diminished) for every chord
- The minor key in its harmonic and natural forms, with chord V shown as both major and minor
- A simple explanation of why chords are major, minor or diminished
- The four cadences (perfect, plagal, imperfect and interrupted) written out in each key
What’s included: 15 PDF charts covering all the keys in the circle of fifth, e.g. all major keys and their relative minors].
Ideal for: piano pupils from around Grade 3 upwards, students preparing for ABRSM theory and aural exams, adult learners, and teachers looking for a clear classroom or lesson reference.
